Who is Dirty Merz... And Why Does He Have Chronicles?

Welcome to the Chronicles of Dirty Merz! For anyone that doesn't know me, my name is Zachary Merzlak, or "Dirty Merz" to some. Growing up I had two passions, baseball and hunting. I ended my baseball career after my time at Lewis and Clark College, which freed me up to become the hunting fool I am today. While hunting is always on my mind I've also found a new passion in running, and continue to fill my days with fishing, working out, and reading.

I'm starting this blog with a few goals in mind. First of which is to document the process of my learnings and adventures. I enjoy writing and have told myself for a long time I should keep a journal of some sort. Publishing it for everyone to see is a way to hold me accountable. While that sounds a bit selfish, I do want to provide benefit for you, the reader. Whether that's from entertainment from watching me be a fool, or actual education by learning from my success and failures. And while I am far from an expert at anything, perhaps I might know a tip or two that will help shorten your learning curve.

The last goal is another selfish one: for me to learn. Learn how to be a better writer, a better blogger, and how to be more organized. I'm also hopeful that if I can add value to your day, that I may be able to learn from you. When I'm stuck on a project, or unsure of where to go for the next weekend, I'd love to hear from you.
